Pointless discussions on unimportant issues leads to quarrels. It's in the Bible, Titus 3:9, TLB. "Don't get involved in arguing over unanswerable questions and controversial theological ideas; keep out of arguments and quarrels about obedience to Jewish laws, for this kind of thing isn't worthwhile; it only does harm."

Wrong desires lead to quarrels. It's in the Bible, James 4:1, TLB. "What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Isn't it because there is a whole army of evil desires within you?"
